Cricket is probably the most popular land sport in Dominica.
In every village, you will find children and grown-ups, playing the game in the street, or even on some seriously steep hillsides ; that takes some skill ! Often, we have a knock about right here at Rosalie Forest, and the local village cricket team, Grand Fond, practices a few times a week. Our guests are always welcome to join the practice, and, who knows, you may even get the chance to play with some world class Dominica cricketers !
Occasionally there are some big cricket matches played in Dominica, and the good grounds are simple to get to from here, by bus or by car.
There is also now a brand new world class cricket stadium in Roseau.
