On a small island surrounded by two different oceans, with 365 rivers flowing across a mere 290 square miles of land, bathing can clearly be a major activity.
There is a commonly held false belief that Dominica does not have any decent beaches; this is simply not true.
It does.
In the north there are few golden sand beaches, and the rest of the island is scattered with amazing volcanic black snad beaches, where you will, most likely, be alone.
There are also so many rivers to swim in that you could try a different one every day of the year, should you wish to stay for that long !
